Hey!

Welcome to my blog. A documentation of my adventures in travel. Hope you enjoy your visit!

Seattle

Seattle

When you find someone who enjoys traveling and being out and about just as much as you do... It's been wonderful! Our first solo trip together was to Seattle. It was non-stop from the moment we set foot of the plane. I'm pretty sure I say that about every trip lol. Maybe one of these days I'll have to take a relaxing vacation! No complaints... I'm loving life!!

Day 1 - A quick uber drive from the airport to our adorable airbnb apartment where we dropped off our luggage and we were off to get on another plane! A float plane this time. It was my first time doing a float plane tour and I really enjoyed it! I saw Seattle in a whole new way. We actually saw Seattle in every way. By boat, by plane and by foot! We used a company called Seattle Seaplanes. I highly recommend it. We had the sweetest pilot, I felt very safe and they had everything in order and ready to go when we arrived. The flight time was about 1hr. From there we went in search of the Fremont Troll. I remembered this from the movie 10 Things I hate about you. (One of my favorites by the way!) It was a great photo opp and the story behind it is also great because of my love for art. We took a little stroll to Fremont Street where we checked out a few stores. Super cute as well...Then we were off to Pikes Place Market. We walked around doing the touristy thing. Trying every sample along the way, buying fresh figs and ordering up some fresh ceviche and tuna tartar. So delicious!!! I could have eaten that for every meal! That evening we decided to take an underground tour which was awesome! I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. We topped off the day by catching a show at The Comedy Underground. Eventful day!

Day 2 - Breakfast at The London Plane. Not only was the food amazing here, but the building itself was beautiful! The open kitchen concept, the fresh baked bread, the cheese boards and coffee...Oh man! Can we just order everything from the menu please? Every single plate they were bringing out of that kitchen looked like a piece of art. A very delicious one. Seriously, even the website is beautiful. (link above- check it out). After indulging - which we seem to be so good at, we walked over to The Space Needle. We needed the exercise after all. Haha! Another amazing view! We ordered up two mimosas and enjoyed the view and more importantly the company. On the walk back we grabbed a little snack at Pikes Market again and checked out the gum wall. We then took a ferry to Bainbridge Island. I had never been on a ferry or to Bainbridge. 2 birds with one stone. We literally walked of the ferry for 10min, turned around and got back on. We just wanted to sit for a while and get another view of the city. It's super cheap and it's beautiful to see the skyline from the water. On the way back we made a last minute decision to go check out the Washington Huskies play the Oregon Ducks. Front row and center!

Day 3 - This is the day we were both waiting for. We basically planned the trip around the Seahawks football game. Holy cow!! I was blown away by how much support the team has! We were out of the apartment pretty early and the streets were flooded with people in jerseys. The lines were out the door in every restaurant and bar. Let the party begin! I had an awesome time despite having to throw away my purse because they aren't allowed in the stadiums. Duly noted! Again, our seats were the best ever! 1st row on the 50 yard line. The fans were awesome and the stadium was awesome! You know what else was awesome!?! The whole trip! :) Now it's wheels up and back to Arizona. Until next time!
