Utah - Salt Lake | Park City
This blog was initially made to give advice or my experiences while traveling and it just so happens that it has turned more into a diary so to say... Just today I was looking back at all my old Facebook moments. I'm sure you all got the same notification as me right?! Your year in review. Where was I last year at this time? Europe! Although that trip was much more extravagant and quite a ways further, I was reminded that it isn't where you are but who you are with. Who you surround yourself with makes all the difference in the world. I know, we all know this...but sometimes it just clicks and being reminded of that helps. That being said, I'm so excited to be heading "home" for the holidays. Back to NM I go!
I recently got back from a quick weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah. I never really had the desire to visit unless it was for Sundance film festival or an event of that sort. I had a great time and below I outlined a few "must dos!"
Mormon Temple - I am far from religious so visiting the mormon temple wasn't a big one in my book. I'm really glad I did though! It was massive and so beautiful! Not to mention all the snow surrounding it made for an even more stunning view.
Snowbird Ski Resort- It was a perfect weekend to snowboard, fresh powder and surprisingly, it wasn't that busy! I spend a couple hours on the bunny hill to get back into it then hit the mountain for a few runs... maybe I should say falls. lol Regardless, I had a great time! That evening we attempted to watch star wars and turned out to be an epic fail. After a full day of snowboarding, a very heavy dinner and drinks we both feel asleep 30min into the movie. That will have to be a redo for sure.
Park City - I wish I could have spent more time here! This place had my name written all over it! The galleries, coffee shops, old saloon style bars and a Banksy!!! (pic below) I'm such a fan of the messages in his art. <3 We grabbed a delicious lunch at the St. Regis. I had the salmon which was amazing. Then headed back to Salt Lake to catch our plane. See ya Utah! I will always be fond of my memories here...
