Top staycation spots in Phoenix
Happy New Year y'all!! The holidays have passed and if you're anything like me you're already jonesing for a little getaway. Because being home for more than 2 weekends in a row just doesn't feel right! Good news is, you don't necessarily need to get out of town to have that relaxing weekend getaway or even break the bank doing so! I say you have a staycation in your own backyard! No, not literally in your backyard!! With how many amazing places Phoenix has to offer for any budget and style of weekend you would like to have, you are sure to find something on this list that strikes your fancy. Below are some I personally highly recommend!
The Montelucia
Stunning views and a true Spanish feel are what draw me to this place. The Montelucia is not only exclusive but also one of the most romantic resorts I have been to here in Arizona. With views or Camelback Mountain, A delicious restaurant on property with oversized paintings of beautiful women and well dressed men, leather and wood decor for a dark and sexy feel and a wonderful selection of cocktails.
The Clarendon
Hip new twist on a historic building in the heart of Phoenix. This is a place I could spend hours at the bar/restaurant chatting with the bartenders and locals who like to hang out here. Very cool place with a lot of history and swanky pool area.
Hyatt Regency
I love this property for its great nightly music, romantic gondola rides and beautiful dimly lit lounge. Also plenty of great food options on property. Sushi being my favorite. Ideal for date night!!!
Hotel Valley Ho
A retro hotel that totally takes you back to another time. Many events are held here in the summer, not to mention some pretty epic pool parties and probably my favorite spot for Halloween celebrations. Located in Old Town Scottsdale - You have lots of nightlife to explore in the area.
Hotel Palomar
Located in Downtown Phoenix City Scape building. Cool decor and tons of great food options, bars and sporting events in the area. Whether you're looking for a more upscale night out or a chill beer drinking evening with some live music you'll find both options minutes form this hotel. Beautiful rooftop bar and bike rentals to cruise around downtown also available!
The Phoenician
Location location location - The Phoenician is located on camelback mountain and overlooks the beautiful Arizona desert. Visit on a Friday or Saturday night for great live music. Usually brought to you by a local Pianist. Isn't it romantic? The property is older but extremely well maintained and very classy. Come here to chat up some of the local celebs that like to join for evening cocktails.
